Find Your MacBook Model (Updated Feb 2025)
You have two options to easily look up your MacBook model.
Option 1: Use “About This Mac”
On your MacBook, open the Apple menu and select “About This Mac”. This will show you your MacBook model and year.

Option 2: Find Your Model Number
On the bottom of your MacBook, you will find a small amount of text (pictured above). In that text, you will see the word ‘Model’ - whatever comes after that is your model number.

2.1) Use This Table to Lookup Your Model Name

Made to Protect.
This isn't just a cover or a skin— it's a case. Rubber edges absorb drops and bumps. The snap-on fit keeps it locked in place without adhesive. Full port access, vent cutouts on the bottom, slim enough that your MacBook still closes and charges normally. A full-grain leather case that actually protects.
Full-Grain Leather. Not Faux.
Most "leather" MacBook cases are PU or bonded leather — synthetic materials made to look like the real thing. This isn't that. Every case is made with full-grain leather, the strongest and most durable grade. The texture is natural, the feel is real, and it only looks better the more you use it.
Not made in China. Made by us.
We make every case in our workshop — not in a factory, not on an assembly line. Full-grain leather on a protective shell, cut and finished by hand, inspected before it ships. It's a slower process, but that's the point. 190+ reviews from people who can tell the difference.
frequently asked questions
-
Is this a real leather MacBook case?
Yes. Every case is made with full-grain leather — the highest quality you can get. It's not PU leather, not bonded leather, not faux. Full-grain means the surface hasn't been sanded or corrected, so you're getting the real thing. If you've been burned by "leather" cases that turned out to be plastic, this isn't that.
-
Will a leather MacBook case make my laptop run hot?
No. The bottom piece has full cutouts for your MacBook's air vents, so airflow isn't restricted. Your MacBook will run the same as it does without a case.
-
How does the case attach to my MacBook?
It snaps on and off — same idea as an iPhone case. Rubber clips hold it in place, so there's no adhesive and nothing permanent. You can remove it anytime without leaving marks.
-
Does leather scratch easily?
Full-grain leather is tough — it's built to handle daily use. Small marks and scuffs that do happen tend to blend in over time and become part of the leather's character. It's not delicate.
-
Which MacBook models does this case fit?
We make leather cases for the MacBook Pro 16" (2021–current, including M1 Pro/Max, M2 Pro/Max, M3 Pro/Max, and M4 Pro/Max), MacBook Air 15" (2023–current, M2 and M3), MacBook Pro 14" (2021–current, same chip range as the 16"), MacBook Air 13.6" (2022–current, M2, M3, and M4), MacBook Pro 13" (2016–2023), and MacBook Air 13" (2018–2021). Every case is model-specific — not a universal fit. Not sure which MacBook you have? Use our Find Your MacBook Model tool.
-
Can I get a custom engraving or logo on my case?
Yes. We do laser engraving — text, logos, custom designs. Just use our customizer tool on this page to get started. Need help? Email support@glitty.co and we'll be happy to lend a hand. Note: customized cases can't be returned or exchanged.
-
What's the difference between a leather MacBook case and a leather skin?
Cases snap on over your MacBook and protect against drops and scratches — they have rubber edges built in for impact protection. Skins are adhesive (removable), protect against scratches only, and sit much slimmer. Most customers go with the case for the added protection.
-
How long does shipping take?
We make everything to order in our workshop, so most orders ship within 3 days (often faster). Delivery to the US and Canada is typically 1–5 business days after that. US orders arrive duty-free — no surprise fees at the door. Need it sooner? Email us and we'll do what we can.

I couldn’t be more thrilled with my leather MacBook Pro 2019 case. It’s still in excellent condition—the black leather looks fantastic after all this time. Some reviews say it’s just a piece of leather glued to plastic, but I can confidently say it’s much more than that. Despite a corner being broken from a fall, it protected my Mac perfectly, and it still looks brand new after five years. The entire experience—from ordering to fast delivery—was outstanding. I’ve recommended this case to friends and family, even buying one for my son and daughter. I’m so satisfied that I’m planning to get one for my new Mac, and this time, I’LL HAVE MY NAME ENGRAVED ON THE COVER! I highly recommend this case to anyone looking for quality and durability.
The top left part of the case doesnt snap all the way on my macbook, but the rest of it fits great and looks even better :)
It's okay.. its just a piece of thin leather glued to the flat parts of a generic black plastic case. The edges of the learher arent finished or molded over the corners. It sits a little proud of the black plastic case, and I can already feel it coming up a bit. For $100+ I was expecting much nicer finish
Wanted a real leather case to complete an expensive laptop. Very well made and beautifully finished. Very pleased with my purchase.
This blue leather case is so beautiful on my Mac! I have had wood cases from Glitty but this is by far the best - excellent craftsmanship and quality. I get compliments on it all the time! The customer service at Glitty is by far the best too! I highly recommend them for your next computer case!
